In our organic garden we grow local vegetables, herbs and medicinal plants using only natural methods, without the use of chemicals or synthetic substances.
Fresh, seasonal produce harvested from the garden enriches our dishes, offering our guests healthy and delicious meals prepared with respect for the environment and tradition. We organize tastings of our own olive oil, which you can buy and take home with you.
We have a park for your leisure time and can help you find your way around the area. We constantly strive to reduce our environmental impact and live in harmony with nature, and in collaboration with cooperatives in the area, we organize and host social farming projects. Finally, we host volunteers for annual or short-term projects.

Meals and coffee breaks
Meals, served buffet style in the large hall, are one of our guests’ favorite moments. We use fresh, seasonal ingredients and suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The lounge is on the ground floor and is also accessible to people with disabilities.
The beverage fridge, coffee machine and herbal tea corner are always at your disposal, and we can arrange sweet or savory snacks for your coffee breaks upon request.

Oil and tastings
Reggello is the city of olive oil, and here we have more than 700 organically grown olive trees. We produce three varieties of high quality oil that you can taste and buy at the facility. Care of the land, environmental sustainability are among the goals of our work and are an experience to be lived during your stay with guided tours of the garden and a tasting of our oil recognized by Slow food as one of the best in the area.

The park and outdoor activities
We have a large park surrounding the house with a shady garden equipped with deck chairs and barbecues to enjoy the warm weather.
A scenic volleyball court in which to go play, rest or even just watch the stars.
For those who want to walk and explore, magnificent terraces with olive trees and a forest to discover in search of a small stream.

Environment and sustainability
At Casa Cares we are constantly striving to reduce our environmental impact and live in harmony with nature. We engage in sustainable and plastic free choices and practices by avoiding waste and disposable products but also by avoiding durable plastic purchases where alternatives exist.
We have an organic vegetable garden and an organic olive grove, the phyto-purification plant, a photovoltaic plant, we do, of course, separate waste collection and composting.

Transportation and trips
Ask us for information to best arrange your arrival and departure to and from Casa Cares and for organizing trips to the surrounding area where you can visit the Pieve di Cascia with paintings by Masaccio, the Balze di Reggello, the forest of Vallombrosa and within a few kilometers Florence, Arezzo, Siena.

Staff and volunteers
Each year Casa Cares welcomes volunteers who provide their passion and commitment by enhancing their skills and energy. Volunteers can stay for weeks or months and help run the services and care for the olive grove and vegetable garden. Contact us for information on how to volunteer!

Social farming
Casa Cares also hosts some social farming activities in collaboration with cooperatives in the area that give people in need the opportunity to experience moments of living and working together with our staff. Since 2020 to date we have hosted about 2 projects a year open to people of all ages.
