How to get there

The Foresteria Valdese of Venice is located in Palazzo Cavagnis, in the Castello sestiere, a few minutes' walk from Campo Santa Maria Formosa. It is easily reachable from the main entry points to the city, either by vaporetto or with a short walk through the streets of the historic center.

From the airport

From the airport, you can reach Venice using the Alilaguna – Blue Line service.

• Take the Blue Line (Airport → Murano → Fondamente Nove)

• get off at the Ospedale stop

From here:

• Walk along Fondamenta dei Mendicanti skirting the Hospital.

• cross Campo San Giovanni e Paolo

• continue towards Barbaria de le Tole

• turn right onto Calle dell'Ospedaletto

• cross two bridges and Calle Tetta

• turn left: beyond Cavagnis Bridge is Cavagnis Palace

Estimated travel times

• Airport → Alilaguna pier: about 10-15 minutes on foot

• Boat ride to Fondamente Nove: about 40 minutes

• From the Ospedale stop to the Foresteria: about a 5-minute on foot

With the car

Those arriving by car can park on the mainland and easily reach Venice by water.
