Aldo Sussi’s exhibition in Florence: a tribute to Palazzo Salviati and the Gould Institute

Starting Saturday, Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. on the premises of the Foresteria Valdese in Florence (Via dei Serragli 49n), Aldo Sussi’s exhibition on Palazzo Salviati and the Gould Institute will be on view. On display are 17 works created by the graphic artist as a tribute to the years he spent at the GouldInstitute at Palazzo Salviati, the same building that now houses the Foresteria and some social and educational services aimed at young people.

The details starring in the works

The artist’s attention focuses on the architectural and decorative details of the seventeenth-century palace and its garden, as well as on some glimpses of the Florentine Oltrarno. The large wooden door at the entrance on Via Maffia, the bell tower of Santo Spirito glimpsed from the window, fragments of ancient ceramics, the view of the Torrigiani Garden, the stone basin located in the park: these are just some of the details on which Sussi’s recollection dwells.

The exhibition is free for all and sundry. No need to make reservations, we look forward to seeing you!
