How to get there
Elba Island is connected to the mainland by ferries and hydrofoils departing from Piombino, a town on the Tuscan coast in the province of Livorno, which is easily accessible by car, train, or bus.
With one of the four ferry companies operating to and from the island, you can travel to Rio Marina, Cavo, and Portoferraio—check the schedules here.
From the airport
From major European cities, you can fly into Marina di Campo Airport, located on the island, or Pisa Airport, and then continue your journey by land or sea.
With the car
In every town on Elba, you can arrange for a taxi or a car rental with a driver.
For car rentals with a driver, the rate is agreed upon with the customer at the time of booking.
With the bus
Take bus line 117 (Portoferraio – Capoliveri – Porto Azzurro – Rio Elba – Rio Marina – Cavo) operated by Autolinee Toscane.
