Why we chose Travel Proud: safety and well-being
Research conducted by booking portal Booking.com reports that 80 percent of LGBTQIA+ people must consider their safety and well-being when choosing a destination. This means that a huge number of male and female travelers cannot behave naturally. Hence the proposed Travel Proud program, designed by Booking to raise awareness of the challenges of the LGBTQIA+ community on the move. By joining, we join the more than 125,000 facilities marked on the site by the appropriate icon, which allows those who wish to do so to easily locate places where they can be anything they want to be, freely.
