Have you ever thought of organizing your events in theFlorentine Oltrarno? Santo Spirito, Borgo San Frediano, names that evoke the immense artistic and cultural heritage that characterizes the most authentic area of Florence.

Location

Here, where you can still breathe the Florentine spirit, is Palazzo Salviati, a 17th-century building closely linked to the history of the neighborhood. The palace houses a beautiful Italianate garden and a church.

Among the rooms managed by the guesthouse is the Great Hall, a large monumental hall with a coffered ceiling, lit by windows overlooking the inner garden embellished with four large canvases that were part of the building’s picture gallery.

Tailored services for events

This charming space is an ideal place to host events such as conferences, conventions, training courses, workshops, cultural activities, and classical music concerts.

The Great Hall has a capacity of 99 people (seated). It is equipped with Wi-Fi system, video projectors and sound system. Connected to the hall, there is a bright room where refreshments, aperitifs and coffee breaks can be set up.

A small permanent photo exhibition can be seen in the same room. The subjects portrayed are minors from the Gould Institute of the 1920s. There are also well-preserved valuable pieces found during maintenance or renovation work on the building.

Numerous events are related to the Waldensian Church and the Waldensian Diaconia: from the CSD Works Convention, to international meetings of volunteers, to cultural events promoted by the Waldensian Church of Florence and the Claudiana Bookstore Florence.

Solidarity

The guesthouse has its raison d’être in supporting the social welfare and educational projects promoted by the Valdese Diaconia and aimed at all and sundry. Services are aimed at the elderly, minors who come from difficult backgrounds, migrants, political refugees. Also, women who have been abused and people with disabilities.
