A vacation to support those most in need<\/h2>\n\n

Waldensian Homes put hospitality at the service of solidarity, concretely. 100% of the profits generated go to support the Valdese Diaconia<\/a>‘s social, educational and welfare projects. It means that with your stay you contribute to the realization of initiatives and services aimed at the elderly, minors, migrants and fragile and disabled people. But what, specifically, are these projects? What do those who choose to stay at Waldensian Homes participate in building? There are three areas of intervention: Health, Inclusion and Educational Services, each with its own facilities, services and campaigns. <\/p>\n\n

Waldensian Diaconia Health projects: areas of focus<\/h2>\n\n

The Health Services area<\/a> manages care facilities for the elderly, communities for people with disabilities, and social-educational services aimed at everyone, regardless of gender, culture, traditions, sexual orientation, social conditions or religious beliefs. In addition, alongside ASLs, Managing Authorities, public administrations, Third Sector entities and local communities, it participates in continuous planning work starting from the needs of the territories, with a view to constant service innovation. Making oneself available to those most in need does not mean imposing one’s own solutions on others. Diaconia Valdese chooses to serve with people<\/strong>, creating relationships of reciprocity in which those who help and those who are helped work together to achieve a common goal. <\/p>\n\n

Waldensian Diaconia Health projects: facilities<\/h2>\n\n

There are five places where Diaconia Valdese’s Salute projects are carried out: four residential communities for the elderly and elderly and a facility for people with disabilities, spread between Piedmont and Tuscany. L’Asilo Dei Vecchi in San Germano Chisone<\/a>, which takes in partially or non-self-sufficient people by promoting their overall well-being, nestled in the green Chisone Valley. LaCasaValdese delle Diaconesse<\/a>, in the heart of Val Pellice, which offers 24-hour care to self-sufficient or partially independent elderly people. The Uliveto<\/a> assisted living residence, Uliveto, on the hill of Luserna San Giovanni, dedicated to people with multiple physical, intellectual and sensory disabilities associated with behavioral disorders. Rifugio Re Carlo Alberto<\/a>, also in Luserna San Giovanni, specializing in the care of people with cognitive impairment. Il Gignoro<\/a>, a facility designed for non-self-sufficient elderly people with cognitive or functional disabilities, in Florence. <\/p>\n\n

Services for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, autism, and frail families<\/h2>\n\n

And then the territorial services. The Development Innovation Service<\/a>, with proposals that focus attention on the potential and talents of people with cognitive impairment, including Alzheimer’s Cafes, Community Friendly Projects for People with Dementia, Memory Gyms, Active Aging, and the Parkinson’s Working Group. The Adults and Territory Service<\/a>, aimed at achieving and maintaining the autonomy of frail adults: families coping with an oncological disease, people with a history of addiction, with disabilities and reduced autonomy, in work and economic difficulties, or bearers of special psychological, health and social situations. Finally, BUM Autism Center<\/a>, which offers educational and growth support pathways for autistic girls, boys and adolescents and their families. <\/p>\n\n
