The Waldensian guesthouse in Venice goes through a revitalization phase<\/h2>\n

A palace rich in history<\/h3>\n

Did you know that Palazzo Cavagnis<\/strong>, home of the Valdese Guest House in Venice<\/strong><\/a>, is listed among the National Monuments?<\/p>\n

Palazzo Cavagnis is a typical 18th-century Venetian aristocratic building; it is located near St. Mark’s Square<\/strong> and the Rialto Bridge<\/strong> in the historic center of<\/strong> the lagoon city.<\/p>\n

In 1711 Antonio Francesco Cavagnis bought the palace, which was already partly frescoed, and further embellished it by commissioning the Venetian painter Giovanni Carlo Bevilacqua to paint a fresco<\/strong> depicting the myth of Bacchus and Ariadne to decorate the ceiling of a room on the first piano nobile.<\/p>\n

A century later, the history of the building will be intertwined with that of the Waldensian Church<\/strong>, which, over the years, will carry out major renovations, retrofitting and restoration and carry out multiple activities<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This work continues today and closely affects the guests and guests who choose to stay overnight in such a fascinating place, which takes one back into the city’s history but is equipped with the essential modern comforts and additional services<\/strong> such as free Wi-Fi<\/strong> throughout the facility, a conference and concert hall, and the <\/strong>possibility of lunch or dinner in the lounge on one’s own. The breakfast buffet<\/h2>\n

\"\" Every morning, in an airy hall<\/strong> overlooking the canal, a breakfast buffet <\/strong>is carefully prepared using quality products<\/strong> with respect for sustainability<\/strong>. Vaporous yellow curtains soften the room, infusing good cheer. <\/p>\n

In the rooms<\/strong>, new curtains and bedspreads, along with lampshades in different patterns, help bring a breath of fresh air in keeping with the environment. But more on that in the near future! <\/p>\n

The guesthouse is open to all and sundry. <\/strong><\/p>\n
